Project Acquisition
The building was acquired by BST Canada and its strategic partners in 2009. Maebrook Scott was a 6-story residential building with 79 housing units. The building, which has a history of more than a hundred years, was the site of the “Old Scott Family Estate,” a luxurious home once owned by one of Brampton’s earliest citizens, Judge Scott.
The building is located in a family-focused community full of greenery, parks, sports facilities, and recreational areas, with high demand for quality and new housing solutions.
BST Canada and its partners identified the building as an excellent redevelopment asset, utilizing our proven value-add strategy. The lot on which Maebrook Scott sits is 2.2 acres in size, allowing BST Canada to significantly increase the number of residential units from 78 to 385 and expand public spaces and supporting facilities.

The Result
We are currently in the advanced planning stages of the project, with BST Canada developing a comprehensive plan for demolishing the existing building and constructing a new building that will contain 350 residential units. The project is expected to bring immense value to the community and offer local residents modern and high-quality living for the years to come.
