The Momentum Continues
Starting from the late 1990s and early 2000s, the BST Group made another significant leap, successfully initiating and securing additional major projects – such as the Azorim Park in Petah Tikva and the UMI complex in Rishon Lezion, while continuing to deepen business partnerships with Shikun Ovdim and Ashstrom.

Beginning of International Activity
In this year, the BST Group expanded its operations abroad. Poland was the first opportunity for breakthrough with the acquisition of land, leading to the initiation and construction of thousands of housing units in the country. From there, international operations expanded in Eastern Europe to numerous projects in Georgia, Romania, and Germany, focusing on asset enhancement in various sectors.
Deepening of Collaborations
During the 1990s, another leap is made, resulting from changes in management within the company. The company increases its share in winning various tenders across the country, professionalism develops and deepens in all areas of the company’s operations, leading to the winning of large projects.
During these years, the collaboration with Shikun Ovdim deepens, with the companies initiating projects and partnering in both entrepreneurship and project execution, creating a wide range of icons and construction projects throughout Israel – such as the slopes of Tiberias.
At the same time, collaborations with other developers are developing – such as Gav Yam, Ishpro, Regional Properties, Industrial Buildings, and more, leading to the establishment of large and significant projects.
Joining the Contractors' Association and Establishing the "Reut" Settlement
The company’s impressive growth in the early 1980s opened the opportunity to join the Contractors’ Association. Along with winning tenders from the Ministry of Defense, during which the company built parts of the cable car on Mount Hermon, BST became an attractive player in the market.

1989 – As part of the work with the Ministry of Defense – the Air Force, BST begins its work to establish a new settlement – Reut, with 1,000 housing units and 14 large bomb shelters.
This project led to a series of additional projects for the Ministry and the Air Force, including the Gilead Paz House, the Afek neighborhood in Rosh HaAyin, and more.
BT Becomes BST
BT begins to establish its name, winning many tenders and executing projects for kibbutzim and moshavim in the Jezreel Valley – such as shelters, dining halls, swimming pools, public buildings, and more.
The company’s first project was winning a tender to build 8 shelters in the Jezreel Valley for the regional council. The project was delivered ahead of schedule and with exceptional quality, which greatly helped establish the company’s good reputation and led to many additional projects, including projects in Nahariya, Acre, and Haifa, building the fire station in Afula, constructing the Emek Yizrael College, and more.
In 1976, Subhi Tannous, Badi’s brother, joined the company, and its name was changed to BST.
